Pedagogisch Didactisch Centrum Leuven, abbreviated to PDCL, is an independent non-profit organisation that organises continuing education on behalf of Leuven University College, Department of Teacher Training. It aims to make an active contribution to continuing education, refresher courses and personal training for team members from primary and secondary education (teaching, administrative and management personnel).

Professionalisation and life long learning are becoming an increasingly self-evident mission for all of us. PDCL offers a high-quality, up-to-date range of continuing education courses. These are practice-oriented, with a theoretical foundation, and interactive. They also take into account the concrete needs and desires of teachers. They allow teachers to obtain extra training in the topics they want or need to explore further.

There are two types of continuing education course available, focusing on either the individual or the school team. Each school year, we draw up a calendar with a wide range of training courses that you can sign up for as an individual teacher. The topics are extremely varied. The target group is always stated clearly.

In addition, as a school or school community, you can request a course for the whole team (as part of your departmental organisation's activities, a teaching study day etc.). This continuing education course takes place in the school itself and can be adapted to the specific needs and desires of the team. You can request an existing continuing education course or you can suggest a topic yourself. In that case, we look for suitable continuing education providers.

PDCL also provides logistical and organisational support for initiatives of Leuven University College's Department of Teacher Training or guidance services in education.
