Advanced Bachelor in Advanced Business Management, Option in Sport Management

The sports industry has been evolving enormously in recent years. Clubs, associations or sports businesses are no longer run from a tiny room at the back of your house. Everyone involved in sports is searching for trained, passionate people who are able to organise events, yet an increasing number is searching for skilled expertise in order to manage an entire organisation and all its levels. This profession-oriented yet very practice-driven programme will prepare you for a future as a sports manager.

Is this programme right for you?

You have obtained a bachelor's or master's degree in physical education (with or without movement recreation) and your want to become a manager in a sports environment. You look forward to the practice experience and the additional management competences to be acquired. The solution is here: interactive guest lectures, your own business project, company visits, an international business case competition and professional skills training.
 

What will you learn?

The programme offers strategic and international management and professional skills which will refine your general management skills. In addition, the programme will focus on the specific sports industry. Various approaches will be discussed: sports organised by a local authority (city, province, ...), by clubs and/or associations and the private for-profit initiatives.
Your business project will allow you to make a distinct choice and to further explore one of the three sports areas. The knowledge acquired will be put into practice during an entire semester. You will choose a company, association, ... and you will determine the goals and planning of your own project in collaboration with them. At the end of the academic year, you will defend your project's paper before a jury of professionals.

Where will you be employed?

This advanced bachelor's degree will give you a head start on the labour market. Creative thinking and a sense of initiative are often essential in the hiring process. Thanks to this programme, you will be able to offer these invaluable assets. Because of your acquired management competences and your knowledge about general and international management, you will have a better chance of being hired as a manager.

The registration fee is 1157,40 euro and the tuition fee is 150 euro, course material not included. We limited the number of students for this programme.
