Application procedure for exchange students

Applying for our exchange programmes is simple and quick. Download our application file, add the documents mentioned below and sent it to: KHLeuven – Leuven University College

Your application should reach us:

• before 20th of June 2010 (for the Fall semester of 2010-2011)
• before 15th of November 2010 (for the Spring semester of 2010-2011)

Before mailing your application, please ensure that you have enclosed:

• Registration form Exchange student at the Leuven University College
• ECTS Student Application form
• ECTS Learning Agreement signed by:

the student
the departmental coordinator of your home institution
the institutional coordinator of your home institution

• Certified copies (in English, French or Dutch) of all your academic transcripts with the official stamp of your home institution.
• A personal letter of motivation (± 450 words) in which you motivate – in English – why you want to study abroad, why you have chosen Belgium and Leuven in particular as the place to study.

We would like to emphasize that all courses in the exchange programmes will be taught in English. Please take into account that a beginner’s level of English is not sufficient to follow the courses and to take the exams. Our coordinators will contact you personally to assess your level of English.
