Living and working together as a society is becoming more and more complex. The result is the increasing emergence of personal, relational and societal needs and conflicts. Social workers play an extremely important role in the fringe area between man and society. They are expected to show a high level of expertise and a strong social conscience. Our programme prepares you excellently for a fascinating working life.

At the Social School department in Heverlee, there are four options within Social Work and Welfare Studies: Option in Social Work and Social Care, Option in Social Work and Legal Aid, Option in Social Work and Human Resources and Option in Social and Cultural Work. Within the four study options, we provide a lot of choices.

We devote a great deal of attention to study support. This translates into an extended student and ombuds service, study support and the student counselling office.

Have you already obtained credits or a diploma elsewhere? Have you gained experience during your work, study or free time? We are happy to take this into account when we award exemptions (EVK/EVC or prior certificated/experiential learning).
