Where can you work?

The programme trains teachers for secondary education. With authorisation to teach in the first and second cycles of General Secondary Education (ASO) and Technical Secondary Education (TSO), and all cycles of Vocational Secondary Education (BSO). For Physical Education, this authorisation also applies to primary school (pre-primary and primary education). You can also work in adult education or for educational services. And in numerous roles for the government as well as in the business world.

Want to continue studying?

If you are having difficulty deciding between various subjects, you may be interested to know that, as a graduate, you can obtain an additional authorisation to teach an extra subject in one year.

After obtaining their diploma, many graduates take the continuing study course for Special Needs Education. This is an advanced bachelor's programme. The short-track programmes for bachelor degrees in Primary or Pre-primary Education are regularly chosen within the department.

Every year, the programme organises an info day for the graduates, where a wide range of possibilities are discussed and presented. These include other continuing study courses, bridge programmes to a master's course, postgraduate courses, short-track programmes in other bachelor degrees, professionalisation initiatives etc.
