Mathematics teacher

A future mathematics teacher must derive pleasure from mathematics and radiate this to his or her students. Problem solving and logical thinking are important aspects of the subject. A mathematics teacher must be able to think logically, at a more abstract level than the subject material on the secondary education curriculum.

A good mathematical education from secondary school is certainly an advantage for students starting this course. However, application and motivation also play a crucial role.

We deal with the various elements of mathematics including logic, statistics, co-ordinate geometry and solid geometry. By standing in front of the class yourself, you practice the skills that a mathematics teacher needs.

One year equals semester 1 plus semester 2 for a total of 60 ECTS credits. The Educational and Examination Regulations provide you with more information on the split between semesters.
