Informatics

Informatics teacher

It is important to note that you really don't need to be a 'computer freak' to become an informatics teacher. Programming, constructing networks, making a website or designing a database: You really don't need to be able to do these things to embark on our course. Of course, during your three-year programme, you will learn all these skills.

This course aims to ensure that you are well-equipped to teach ICT, informatics and applied informatics. Subjects that are on the secondary education curriculum.

As a graduate informatics teacher, you have a number of skills that are also valued outside education. If you wish, you can work in the business world or for various organisations. In roles such as ICT instructor, helpdesk employee and ICT support worker. With your problem-solving and communication skills, you're always in demand as a candidate. Or for less specific roles such as a sales or financial position in the banking and insurance sector.

One year equals semester 1 plus semester 2 for a total of 60 ECTS credits. The Educational and Examination Regulations provide you with more information on the split between semesters.
