Do you already have a diploma, work experience or competences acquired elsewhere? Leuven University College offers tailor-made short-track programmes according to your study or work history:
Intended for those who have already obtained the bachelor degree in Primary or Secondary Education. Or for people who have obtained master's degrees via a specific teacher training programme.
The study programme is very practice-oriented. It comprises a number of modules, put together around specific topics. The fascinating and varied job of pre-primary teacher is something best learnt by actively doing it. The work placement is at the heart of your studies. You gradually take over more tasks from the pre-primary teacher: from class assistant to professional in your own class and team. Lecturers and work placement mentors support you in your learning process. You can also contact the 'short-track programmes' co-ordinator at any time with your questions and suggestions.

Intended for those who have a higher education qualification, a Certificate of Teaching Competence (GPB) and credits. Or for experienced professionals without a higher education qualification.
You have already acquired lots of general competences during your work and study history. You also have a number of competences specific to the diploma you obtained.
You therefore receive exemptions to a value of around 60 study points. This is equivalent to the study points from one course year. These exemptions are awarded after an introductory meeting, subject to verification of qualifications obtained elsewhere: EVK or prior certificated learning such as credits, diploma, certificate etc. And competences acquired previously: EVC or prior experiential learning.
You can view the programme for a two-year course here.
