In the first year, you study communication subjects. Oral and written communication are dealt with. In Dutch, English and French. You also acquire a basic grounding in German. You learn how to use communication techniques effectively. In the first year you also receive a basic grounding in office automation skills. And an introduction to welfare and healthcare with psychology, biology, medical terminology and ethics.
The second and third years are more strongly focused on the welfare and health sector.
With an Office Management bachelor degree, option in Medical Management Assistant, you are an ideal candidate for a job in the welfare and health sector. This includes hospitals, of course, but your options are much broader than that. Pharmaceutical firms, group practices, health insurance companies, health centres and welfare organisations also value your skills highly. You are first and foremost an office manager. This means that you can work anywhere as a management assistant.
After gaining your bachelor degree, you can start work immediately. Or you can continue studying. Your diploma is recognised internationally. This allows you to start a master's course at a university or university college in Belgium or abroad. This is usually done via a bridge programme.
