As a computer scientist, you support the policy and administration of organisations in a technical sense. Within your organisation or company, you contribute to the efficient running of all processes in which information plays a fundamental role.
You don't need to be a complete 'computer freak' to start this course. You have a logical mind and an eye for systems and structures in your environment. After secondary education, you already have a basic knowledge of French and English. You do not need any prior knowledge of IT and business administration.
The business world appeals to you, you are open to new things and you are willing to keep learning. Communicating and co-operating are not a problem for you.
You study the various aspects of information technology. You strengthen your social and communicative skills, your insight into the business environment and the mathematical fields of application.
Throughout the course, you can set your own areas of emphasis. From the fourth semester, you choose between three option paths. In each of these paths, the focus is on different areas of IT: systems and networks, software development and management information systems.
You can find work in a wide range of organisations and companies, where you will carry out your tasks in one or more of the following areas, broadly speaking: software development, network management or training and support.
