A student who enrolled before the 2005-2006 academic year is expected to have a diploma contract, unless he/she explicitly chose an examination contract.
This student is expected to have acquired ECTS Credits with regard to course units for which he took examinations and received a ‘pass’ mark before the academic year 2005-2006, however, taking into account the following rules:
The credit certificates are recorded in the Leuven University College information system.
If the number of ECTS Credits of a course unit are changed during the study programme, the student having passed the course unit maintains the original number of ECTS Credits.
A student having obtained at least 60 ECTS Credits up until the 2006-2007 academic year for the study programme of bachelor of education, secondary education, is entitles to continue the three-subject programme until the end of the 2011-2012 academic year.
The same applies to students who started the ‘bachelor of education, secondary education' study programme in the 2006-2007 academic year and obtained at least 45 ECTS Credits overall on condition that they comply with the following two requirements:
• The student obtained ECTS Credits for didactical workshops of the three teaching subjects (two for physical education and nutrition and care)
• The student did not obtain non-tolerable fail grades for the course units of the three teaching subjects (two for physical education and nutrition and care)
If the student complies with all the conditions, he is required to complete all course units pertaining to his teaching subjects - including teaching placement - of semesters 3 and 4 in the 2011-2012 academic year.
Amendments to the Leuven University College education and examination regulations are accepted by means of a decision by the college administration, after consultation with the Academic Council.
The present education and examination regulations come into effect on 19 September 2011.
