General Services provide services for the entire Leuven University College and consist of three clusters. The strategic cluster is headed by the general director, who also acts as coordinator between Board of Governors, central services and departments. The general director works closely together with the Chair of Leuven University College, who visits the ‘Abdij’ on a regular basis. The Education and Research Services are headed by the Head of Education and Research and the Administrative Services are led by the Head of Administrative Services.

Strategic cluster

  • The General Director is responsible for the daily management of Leuven University College, in conjunction with the management team.
  • The General Secretary is responsible for the organisation and reporting of the various boards and councils. This person can be contacted if you are looking for a report or a text related to a decision.

  • The Communication Services develop and implement the communication strategy of Leuven University College. The communication strategy pertains to internal and external communication.

  • The HR Advisor furthers the development of competences at Leuven University College and develops the necessary tools in conjunction with the management team and the college consultation committee.

  • ICT Services are responsible for creating and managing ICT facilities and applications at Leuven University College. Additionally, they provide user support for students and staff.

  • Quality Assurance Services are responsible for visualising the quality of study programmes, of departments and of the university college itself. To this end, they set up and perform research, and put an internal monitoring system in place.

  • The Student Coach supports student services at Leuven University College, and is responsible, among others, for organising the elections of the student representatives, welcoming students and promoting student participation.

  • The Research and Services Office is responsible for creating a regulatory framework for research and services at Leuven University College. For individual projects, the office provides methodological and technical research support. On behalf of Leuven University College, it develops a quality assurance system for research and services.

  • Student Coaching includes every kind of student support related to studying (study coaching), life (personal coaching) and making choices in a flexibility-oriented university college (study itinerary coaching).
