Quality surveys

Quality surveys

For the purpose of quality management, Leuven University College performs surveys on a regular basis into the various aspects of its organisation. The results are used to adjust the policy plans accordingly.

Results recent graduates survey (2007-2008)

Overall, graduates are satisfied with their education. They particularly value the competences which they have acquired, the practice-oriented nature of their education, including their work placement. Points of improvement are research and international dimension. Students would also have liked more information about continued education and their introduction into the labour market. Graduates found employment by writing unsolicited application letters, through their work placement and/or final project or through a temp agency.

A growing number of Leuven University College graduates choose to continue their education after their professional bachelor programme. Graduates from various study programmes start bridge programmes or master programmes.
Even graduates of study programmes which lead to occupations which are in demand and which are short-staffed, continue their education. This is particularly obvious in the study programmes of Chemistry, Nursing and Midwifery.

Graduates who seek employment, easily find a job. The employment closely matches the level and subject of their education. Major part of the graduates receive a long-term contract or may look forward to a steady position. As a consequence, the satisfaction rate about work security is very high.

Results satisfaction survey of students and staff (2009-2010)

Every three years, Leuven University College measures the level of satisfaction among all staff members and all students about the university college. This satisfaction survey is a crucial gauge: the results demonstrate what staff and students are happy or unhappy about.
Three out of four students would recommend Leuven University College to friends. We see the same result among staff members: three quarters would recommend Leuven University College as a future employer.

When asked whether one is satisfied with the education in general, about 80% of the students and teaching staff reply positively. Students and staff are equally very satisfied with the professional and profession-oriented nature of the programmes. However, students indicate that the feasibility of the study programmes should receive continuous attention.
