The Bologna Declaration of 1999 dramatically altered the higher education landscape. Throughout Europe, university colleges and universities are developing a new BA/MA structure. This means you have the enormous advantage of being able to collect credits at different institutions in Belgium and abroad that lead to a diploma. UC Leuven-Limburg is a member of the KU Leuven Association. This collaborative university system aims to offer clear added value for you as a student. For example, transferring to programmes within the association and abroad is now a smoother process.

The European Commission has awarded us the ECTS label 2011-2014. Do you want to know how what we mean by credits, course units, work load,...? You will find this information under the heading 'Education Activities' in the Education and Examination Regulations.
